San Francisco Land Audit
Background — From the Recommendations of the San Francisco Urban Agriculture Alliance to the Food Policy Council in Summer 2010.
The Policy Working Group of the SFUAA focused on reviewing the urban agriculture goals in the Mayor's Executive Directive on Healthy and Sustainable Food (July 2009), offering recommendations for the SF Food Policy Coucil’s Annual Report for the best strategies for implementation of these goals. Existing policies and programs from cities including Chicago, Boston, Seattle and Portland have influenced the recommendations.
The recommendations were made in anticipation of the release of the land audit mandated by the Executive Directive.
The full recommendations and the results of the land audit are available in the Summary Report of the Food Policy Council.
